Dear Sisters, Parents, Friends, Alumni, and potential Delta Zetas!

Welcome to the sisterhood of Delta Zeta at Randolph-Macon College! Our sisterhood is truly seen across our campus. Whether it is a cozy movie night in our house, a couple of sisters studying in the library, or a fun sisterhood “minute to win it” event, we love spending time with our sisters. Our chapter prides itself on 100 percent involvement on campus. We have athletes, Captains, tutors, future teachers and tour guides!

This past school year has been an amazing one for us. We continue to excel in the classroom. We hosted two philanthropy events, our first ever Shamrock Shootout for Starkey and Hot Dogs for Hearing and continue to increase the amount of dollars we donate. We continue to donate our time through performing many service projects including making Build-A-Bears with hearing aids. We give these bears to the VCU Audiology Department so they can be given to children with cochlear implants when they come out of surgery so they have a friend just like them. We had so much fun at our annual Sisterhood Retreat, have connected with other sororities on campus, and continue to receive many Awards.

Delta Zeta has become a huge part of my life and I cannot thank each sister and adviser that has pushed me to become the woman I am today. Through the wonderful experiences of being a new member, becoming Alumni Relations Chairman, Peer Mentor, and lastly being President, each experience has helped me grow into a strong leader. My college experience has definitely benefited because of the amazing moments I have experienced in Delta Zeta.

If you have any questions about our chapter of Delta Zeta or Greek Life at Randolph-Macon College, please feel free to contact me at MiriamMorenoAlcala@go.rmc.edu. Please feel free to browse through our website and catch a glimpse of what our sorority and sisterhood is all about!

Truly,

Our history

Delta Zeta Founders.

Our purpose

"The purpose of this sorority shall be to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action; objects worthy of the highest aim and purpose of associated effort. The purpose of this sorority shall be advanced through the National Convention, the National Council, and the college and alumnae chapters."
When six young women came together in 1902 to form a social sorority, they had a vision of lifetime sisterhood fostered by ideals that they cherished.

Delta Zeta Sorority was founded by Alfa Lloyd, Mary Collins, Anna Keen, Juila Bishop, Mabelle Minton and Anne Simmons at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, on October 24, 1902. It was the first sorority to be founded at the university.

The Founders then went on to lay the foundation for the Sorority which would have a national reach. Today, Delta Zeta has enriched the lives of over 240,000 alumnae and collegiate members in the United States and Canada.
