"To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, May I give graciously, Of what is mine"

Service to others enriches the world. Our national philanthropy, supported by both collegiate and alumnae chapters, are speech and hearing. Our national service project is The Painted Turtle camp. Through Delta Zeta's philanthropy of speech and hearing, our chapters support local and national speech and hearing organizations, volunteering many hours and generously fundraising for this cause.

Our Philanthropy

The Painted Turtle camp is our natoinal service project.  The Painted Turtle's mission is to provide a year-round, life-changing environment and authentic camp experience for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, and Delta Zeta members volunteer at the camp as well as sending crafts for the kids who attendth camp. The Painted Turtle is located in Lake Hughes, California.

Our chapter supports local and national speech and hearing organizations, such as Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., the only four-year liberal arts school in the world devoted wholly to the needs, instruction, and training of young people who are deaf.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation's mission is to change the social consciousness of hearing and hearing matters through education and research; while providing the gift of hearing to those in need around the world. Delta Zeta has pledged 5 million dollars to Starkey in the next five years and are well on the way to achieving that goal.

Starkey/Build-A-Bear Project: Members of Delta Zeta made bears with hearing aid attachments from Build-A-Bear, so that children at the VCU Audiology Center in Richmond, VA, can have a 'furry friend just like them.'
