Starting recruitment is such an exciting step, and I’m so glad you’ve decided to be a part of it. This experience is about so much more than just joining an organization—it’s about discovering where you feel supported, understood, and truly at home during your time at Randolph Macon College.

 

When I first went through recruitment, I remember feeling a mix of excitement and uncertainty. There are so many new faces and conversations, and it can feel overwhelming at times. But what I quickly realized is that this process isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real. The more you allow yourself to be genuine, the easier it becomes to find the people you truly connect with.

 

Delta Zeta has given me a sense of belonging that I didn’t even realize I was looking for when I came to college. It’s the little moments—laughing with friends, having people who check in on you, and knowing you’re surrounded by women who want to see you succeed—that have meant the most to me. It’s a place where I’ve grown, felt supported, and made memories I’ll carry with me long after college.

 

As you go through recruitment, remind yourself that this is your journey. Don’t compare your experience to anyone else’s, and don’t be afraid to trust your instincts. The right place will feel natural—it will feel like somewhere you can truly be yourself.
