FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are Delta Zeta's involved on campus?
Yes! Our chapter has 100% involvement on campus! This means that all of our sisters are involved in at least one other organization on campus outside of Delta Zeta.
We have sisters in who are New Student Transition Captains, in Leadership Fellows, in the Green Bandana Project, and who are involved with organizations within their majors! Outside of DZ, many of our sisters are even officers in their organizations!

Why should I go through recruitment?
Going through recruitment is a chance to find a group of women who will support you through college life and beyond. It’s not just about joining a sorority, it’s about discovering a community where you can grow, make lifelong friends, and build meaningful connections.
During recruitment, you get to meet different chapters and see where you feel most at home. Being in a sorority isn’t just about fun events or socials, it’s also about having a support system, getting involved in causes that matter to you, and developing skills that will help you in all areas of life.
If you’re looking for more than just an organization, but a place where you can belong and thrive, recruitment is the perfect way to start that journey.

Will Delta Zeta get in the way of school?
As Delta Zeta Women, we are constantly striving for excellence. School is always the number one priority, and we make sure that our sorority does not hinder academics, but help. In Delta Zeta, we have a wide range of majors from nursing, chemistry, business, education, and more. We offer programs to help hold our sisters accountable and to celebrate their accomplishments.

How will Delta Zeta help me in the long run?
Not only does being in a sorority bring you lifelong friends, it also provides you with skills to take with you after college. Delta Zeta offers a number of leadership and learning opportunities to help you grow as an individual and prepare you for a career.

Does Delta Zeta haze?
Absolutely not, Delta Zeta has a zero tolerance policy for hazing within our chapter and within our Nationals. Delta Zeta recognizes that hazing has very serious and negative long-term effects on members. Because of this, our Nationals upholds a strict, anti-hazing policy. Here at Omicron Zeta, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming place for our sisters to feel at home and comfortable. We want our sisters to feel nothing but love every time they walk through the doors.
